10 Top Ways To Remove Upper Lip Hair At Home Naturally & Permanently

One of the most annoying problems we women face is unwanted facial growth especially upper lip hair. Many visit beauty salons regularly for waxing to remove the upper lip hair. But upper lip hair can be easily removed at home permanently with natural home remedies and I wanted to share all of them. But what causes upper lip hair? Excessive hair growth on face and body is called hirsutism and it is caused due to hormonal imbalance and is mostly common in women suffering from poly cystic ovarian syndrome (pcos). Some hair on our upper lip is normal and is mostly genetic but if the hair growth is dark, coarse and very visible then it is highly likely to be due to hormonal imbalance. The best way to stop hair growth on upper lip is to treat pcos and you can find how to treat pcos with natural home remedies easily here. Once pcos is treated, upper lip hair won't grow as thick and coarse anymore and you can easily remove the existing hair with the remedies given below. Different ways to remove upper lip hair? Some of the common methods used for removing upper lip hair instantly are plucking unwanted upper lip hair with tweezers, waxing, using hair removing creams and electric trimmers. Finally there are homemade scrubs which helps stunt the hair growth permanently but it takes time and depending on the coarseness of the hair might take months to see results but the results are permanent. I would suggest not using tweezers to pluck upper lip hair especially if the hair is thick as it injures the skin. The best option is to use instant hair removal methods like waxing or using an electric trimmer to remove existing hair along with using homemade scrubs daily. This way we can remove existing hair and arrest further hair growth simultaneously. When you continuously use both methods, you will find hair growth gradually diminish and over time will stop completely. The time it takes will depend on how coarse your hair is. To use the below given scrubs, make it into a paste and apply as a thick coat on the upper lip. Wait for it to almost dry and then start rubbing gently in small circular motions and then remove it off. Wash your face and then apply a moisturizer without fail.....

8 Remedies To Tighten Loose Stomach Skin After Pregnancy Naturally !

I wanted to share tips, remedies and recipes to tighten loose skin after pregnancy. After delivery, our body changes in many ways and one of the biggest change is our sagging stomach. Don't be frustrated about it, our stomach stretches throughout delivery so give it some time to get back to it's original shape. The time it takes for our stomach to get back to it's normal shape depends on how much weight we gained during pregnancy, our fitness level and genetics also plays a main role. Here are 10 important tips that will help get rid of loose skin: 1. Dry Brushing: Dry brushing after delivery regularly helps greatly in tightening loose skin after delivery. Choose a good quality dry brush for best results, you can read about dry brushing in detail here. 2. Massage Oil: Regularly massaging your stomach during pregnancy will go a long way in preventing stretch marks. I would suggest starting the massage from the first trimester onwards, this will ensure that your skin is supple and will greatly minimize skin sagging. I have given my favorite massage oil recipe below. 3. Exercise: Do stomach strengthening exercises regularly like planks and crunches but if you have had a caesarean delivery I would suggest consulting your doctor before starting your exercise regime. 4. Don't Crash Diet: Don't try to cut down on your calories drastically, losing weight too quickly is also one of the main reasons for loose skin. 5. Massage Cream: Soon after delivery, start massaging your stomach everyday with a massage cream. Massaging regularly improves skin elasticity and helps tighten the skin greatly. I have given a homemade massage cream recipe below, use it regularly for best results. 6. Keep Yourself Hydrated: Keeping your body hydrated is essential for improving the skin elasticity and toning the sagging skin. If you don't like to drink water, try to consume more of hydrating ingredients like coconut water, soups, fresh juices, etc. 7. Consume Lots Of Protein: Consuming lots of protein is especially important after delivery to improve muscle mass, to have the energy to exercise daily and also to prevent sagging skin. Try to consume more of plant based proteins like nuts and legumes. 8. Use Exfoliating Scrubs: Weekly once use exfoliating scrubs to improve the blood circulation. I would suggest coffee and brown sugar scrub, it is gentle to be used on the stomach and helps improve the skin tone greatly. All these natural remedies work really well in tightening sagging belly skin after pregnancy and if used regularly will help tighten loose skin completely....

3 Best Ways To Remove Blackheads At Home Naturally & Permanently

Home remedy to get rid of blackheads & whiteheads on face & nose naturally, permanently fast at home in 3 days. What Are Blackheads? Blackheads are small black painless bumps that appear on the surface of our skin, mainly our face. Blackheads are actually a mild form of acne that is most commonly found on the face but it can be found on the back, chest and even on hands. What Causes Blackheads? Blackheads are caused when our hair follicle get clogged with excess sebum. Each of our hair follicle contains a single hair and a sebaceous gland that produces oil. The oil secretion is what keeps our skin soft and smooth. The problem starts when there is excessive oil production. Excessive oil production can be due to hormonal changes, health conditions that plays havoc with our skin like pcos and stress, certain medications can also trigger more oil production or it can be hereditary too. When the excessive oil builds up, it clogs the hair follicles resulting in blackheads. Like some believe, blackheads are not caused due to dirt build up and is definitely not due to lack of cleanliness. What Are The Symptoms Of Blackheads? The definite symptom of blackhead is the black bump on our skin which gives it's name. Because of the black color it is is easy to spot blackheads. Unlike acne, blackheads are not inflamed so there will not be any pain. What is The Difference Between Blackheads & Whiteheads? When the pores get clogged, it is white in color first but when the clogged pores comes into contact with the air, it gets oxidised and turns black, that is the only difference between blackheads and whiteheads. What Not To Do when You Have Blackheads? Don't pick the blackheads, many of us pick blackheads with our hands but in my personal experience we can never remove blackheads by picking on them, it will only lead to wounds and scarring. Also don't use abrasive scrubs, it will cause intense skin irritation and redness. What Are The Home Remedies For Removing Blackheads And Whiteheads? The best home remedies for treating blackheads at home are using a steam to open up the pores, a gentle scrub to remove the blackheads and whiteheads along with a blackhead removal mask to tighten the pores for preventing further occurrences of blackheads.......

5 Top Remedies To Remove Hyperpigmentation On Face & Skin Permanently

Melanin is the pigment that gives our skin it's color and they are produced by melanocytes. Hyperpigmentation is the result of excessive production of melanin resulting in dark spots, age spots, freckles, melasma and liver spots. Hyperpigmentation can appear in very small areas like dark spots or it can also appear in large areas. Some of the common causes of hyperpigmentation are 1. Sun Exposure: Sun exposure is one of the leading causes of skin pigmentation, when we expose our skin to sunlight for a long time it stimulates excessive production of melanin. 2. Skin Inflammation: When our skin gets inflamed due to skin conditions like acne, it stimulates more melanin production resulting in skin discoloration. 3. Ageing: When we age, melanin becomes less diffuse and our body slowly loses it's control over the production of melanin and we get what is called age spots. Hyperpigmentation Treatments: Some of the treatments available for hyperpigmentation are photo facial which is light based treatment that improves collagen production and reduces dark and brown spots. Chemical peels in which chemicals are applied to skin to peel off the existing skin layer. The regenerated skin layer is smooth and is supposed to be free of hyperpigmentation. Laser peels in which laser is used to lighten the dark area and finally there is topical skin lightening creams and potions. But these treatment should be done under expert guidance else it could cause more harm than good. Finally there are natural home remedies that is made with natural skin lightening ingredients. Some of the most commonly used skin lightening ingredients are licorice powder, Aloe Vera, turmeric powder, potato juice, lemon juice, rice water and sandalwood. I have given some of the remedies using these ingredients down, use them regularly to see good results. The time it takes for the pigmentation to fade will vary from person to person and we have to be regular with the treatments else we will not see results......

3 Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Open Pores On Face Permanently

Pores in our skin is where hair follicles and sebaceous gland which produces sebum is found. We all have open pores and it is necessary for the oil and hair follicle to surface. It becomes a problem only when there is excessive oil production. When we don't remove the excessive oil build up, the excessive oil build up makes the pores look visibly larger and it is this condition that we call open pores. If left untreated may lead to blackheads and white heads. But what causes excessive oil production in the first place? It might be genetics, hormonal changes, poor skin care routine and stress also can contribute to changes in our skin texture. If you are genetically prone to oily skin or lead a highly stressful life it is so common to suffer from enlarged pores. We can easily avoid it if we regularly follow a skin care routine. You can off course buy store bought products for your skin care routine. But I prefer to make my own as it is cheap and I also know what goes into it. If you are suffering from large pores, first we have to remove the excessive oil from our pores, I do it in three steps. First is a scrub using orange juice and sugar, the scrub gently removes the excessive oil gently. But try to use only castor sugar, if you use regular sugar it will cause skin irritation. The second is a homemade toner using apple cider vinegar, apple cider vinegar helps remove any left over sebum left by the scrub. Finally the last step is a face pack using egg white, the egg white mask tightens the pores and after this treatment you will see good improvement. I would suggest doing this treatment weekly once to remove and prevent excessive oil build up.........

6 Best Ways To Remove Unwanted Hair Permanently At Home

One of the most requested remedies in wildturmeric blog is natural and permanent ways to remove unwanted hair at home. I wanted to share the different options available and the different traditional Indian remedies that can be used for unwanted face and body hair removal. From ancient times, women have used different natural methods to remove unwanted hair naturally and the choice of ingredients may vary from place to place but all these ancient remedies work. The few common questions we have regarding hair removal at home are: Can We Remove Unwanted Hair permanently At Home? Electrolysis is the only method that gives permanent results with just one use as it burns of the hair follicles completely and then there is laser hair removal which stops hair growth for a year or so but since at home hair removal treatments does not burn off hair follicles like electrolysis and laser, you will not see results instantly. But with everyday use of home remedies like bath powders, the hair gets scanty and over time hair regrowth stops and the results are then permanent. What Are The Methods Of Hair Removal At Home? There are 2 natural methods that are commonly used for hair removal at home, one is instant and the other takes months of regular use to see results. The first method for body hair removal is waxing, in which sugar is cooked to a thick syrup along with lemon juice and then it is applied to the skin and then a thick cloth is applied on top and is pulled apart in the opposite direction. Since the sugar syrup is very sticky, all the body hair sticks to it and when we pull apart, it removes the hair along with the sugar syrup too. This process is very very messy and painful, especially if you have coarse hair, I would suggest trying it once in a parlour to get an idea and then try it at home. I do sugar waxing regularly for my hands and legs, trust me, with regular use it gets easier and lot less messier. Also one best benefit of waxing is it leaves the skin smooth and it also exfoliates the skin really well. It also gives instant results and since it removes the hair from the roots, we can be hair free for at least 2 to 3 weeks and with regular use, the hair also starts getting scantier and scantier. Some women prefer shaving but shaving has to be done everyday and sometimes shaving also can result in cuts and bruises. The second natural method is using natural scrubs, when we use natural scrubs regularly it weakness the existing hair and over time it results in hair thinning. Here in India, we are encouraged to use bath powders from young age, bath powder is a natural but very gentle exfoliant. Bath powders does multiple things for our skin, it not only keeps the skin blemish free, it also reduces body hair growth over time. The most popular ingredients used traditionally for hair removal are turmeric, besan, nagarmotha (called korai kizhangu) in Tamil, alum and rice flour. Now lately corn flour, baking soda are also used popularly for natural hair removal. Some people complain that scrubs don't work for them even after using it for months together regularly, scrubs works best for people with thin, scanty hair. When we use scrubs regularly, thin, feeble hairs fall off fast whereas coarse hair takes very long time to fall off. This is the main reason that some people feel scrubs don't work for them. For people with coarse hair, I would suggest using both waxing and body scrubs regularly to see results. Also I get questions regularly from men asking whether ingredients like turmeric, alum, etc, will result in hair removal for them, men have very thick and coarse hair compared to women and using natural scrubs will never result in hair removal...

6 Top Benefits & Uses of Baking Soda Bath For Diaper Rash, Yeast Infection, UTI & Hives

Baking soda is such a versatile ingredient, it can be used for cleaning, baking, cooking and as a home remedy. Since I bake a lot, I always have baking soda at home and more than baking I end up using it for other purposes. One of the important uses of baking soda is it's amazing ability to treat skin infections. It can be used for treating diaper rash, UTI, babies, eczema, yeast infections, sunburn, psoriasis and skin itching. The best way to use baking soda for treating skin infections is by taking a bath using baking soda. This bath is also one of the best ways to relax and after a long day if you don't have the patience to make your bath salts just add baking soda from the kitchen shelf. Throw in a few herbs either dried or fresh and you have made a wonderful, cheap relaxing bath at home. Another wonderful thing about baking soda bath is you don't have to worry about cleaning the tub after the bath, it will leave it squeaky clean by itself. Many naturalists recommend detox baths because it draws out toxins from the body and greatly relaxes us. Baking soda bath tops that list as it is one of the cheapest and most effective detox baths. Making baking soda bath is simplicity itself, if you are pressed for time just mix only 1/4 cup baking soda into the water. But I would strongly advice adding your favorite essential oils and herbs. You can also add Epsom salt and rock salt along with baking soda in the bath if you have them at home. First start the bath with dry brushing your skin using an appropriate brush. After dry brushing immerse yourself in baking soda bath for 10 to 15 minutes. The water should neither be too hot or too cold. If it is too hot, it will make the person perspire more and some might experience dizziness. After the soak take a bath, preferably using a homemade bath powder.

Mustard Bath Health Benefits: Home Remedy For Ringworm

This incident happened 2 years back, when I was collecting all the home remedies to record in the blog. My niece, who is living abroad got infected with ringworm and she was going to the doctor for the treatment. The problem was, she kept getting it back, once she stopped applying the medicines. She knew I was collecting all the home remedies and she mailed me the picture of the affected area and asked me for remedies. I knew mustard bath was an amazing home remedy for ringworm, I asked her to make a paste of the regular dark mustard and apply it all over the affected area and wait for a few minutes before having the shower. I also asked her to be patient with the treatment and what happened was amazing! Within a few days, the ringworm was completely gone and she has not gotten it again. To date, she keeps mentioning this incident and she has become a firm believer of homemade remedies. I feel, if we have faith and the patience to do the treatments and do it in a proper way, home remedies work really well. This mustard bath treatment is messy and has to be done in the bathroom before bath, as the mustard paste keeps dripping. It is also better, if the paste is made fresh everyday, till the treatment is done. Mustard paste might cause redness of the skin for some, but it is very rare, as we are just keeping the paste on the skin for a few minutes. But to be on the safer side, do a patch test on a small portion of the skin, before applying it all over the body. My niece does not have a sensitive skin and she did not have any problem using it. I prefer the black mustard seed paste for this remedy and even I was pleasantly surprised at how fast she got cured, as I was expecting that it will take more time. Mustard has anti fungal and antibacterial properties that makes it an ideal ingredient to use for skin infections, especially for treating ringworm.

This homemade disinfectant wipes is one of the best way to sterilize the skin that is infected. You can make plenty of these ahead of time, preferably during the summer time and I am sure you will be reaching for these turmeric wipes very often. Though we can use these wipes to sterilize any open wounds and cuts, the best thing about these wipes is that it can be used to treat eye infections, especially pink eye/madras eye. I can't forget the funny incident I had with pink eye when I was younger. When I was staying in hostel, if anyone of the students got madras eye, they were usually sent home for a week, to prevent other children from getting it. Most of us students, used to pray daily to get madras eye, so we can go home. The funny thing was, I finally ended up getting madras eye and was sent home. When I went home, I could barely open my eyes and the itching was terrible and all my plans of happily spending a week at home was ruined. When we get madras eye, there is terrible pain, redness and watering of the eyes. Use these turmeric wipes to wipe the eyes. You can also use these wipes to clean cuts and wounds for children. In fact these turmeric wipes can be used for any skin related diseases. To make these wipes, take a 100% pure white cotton cloth. Boil water in a wide pan, once it comes to a roaring boil, add the cloth and let it boil for few minutes. Remove the cloth and squeeze out the water, once it cools down. Take a piece of turmeric and rub it into a paste in a coarse stone. Mix the turmeric paste in water. Soak the sterilized cloth in this turmeric water. After an hour, squeeze out the water and sun dry it completely. Your home made antiseptic turmeric wipes are now ready! You can make plenty of these wipes during summer months and use it year round to treat any infections.

How to Do a Paraffin Treatment at Home

Paraffin is a mineral wax derived from petroleum. Paraffin wax has a low melting point, meaning it melts very quickly at low temperatures, allowing one to apply the wax easily without burning oneself. Paraffin treatment is very useful for people who suffer from rheumatism and sprains as it is one of the best methods to apply deep heat to the affected area. Paraffin wax therapy is also becoming very popular in treating sprains that are caused by sports. This treatment does not have any harsh chemicals and leaves the area soft and smooth as paraffin also treats dry skin. The list of conditions that this paraffin wax hot therapy is used as a treatment is quite long. It used as a treatment in conditions such as arthritis, eczema, psoriasis, scar tissue, stiff joints, muscle sprains etc. To make this treatment, measure out the coconut oil and paraffin wax in a double boiler. You can also melt it in a wax heater like I did for home made wax. The paraffin wax melts very soon, once it melts, apply the wax on the affected area. Make sure to apply it fast, as it solidifies into a thick white coating fast. You can reheat and apply 2 to 3 layers of coating and cover it with warm thick towel / aluminum foil and wait for it to cool before washing the area. I like aluminum foil because once you peel it, the wax usually peels off with it. Please be careful when melting the wax and remove it immediately from double boiler, once the wax melts. People who are suffering from rheumatism will greatly benefit from paraffin wax treatment, but make sure to apply 3 to 4 coatings. This treatment also works beautifully for treating cracked feet, I use this treatment regularly for treating my cracked feet and find it very effective.
